The Newest Places to Add to your List for a Night Out in Tel Aviv

Have you been to Tel Aviv multiple times but feel like you’re constantly dining at the same restaurants? Well have no fear, we’re here to advise on where you need to make all your dinner reservations for your next nights out in the big city! From the cozy places that serve cocktails on the corners of the main streets, to culinary experiences that are close to being labeled Michelin starred restaurants, Delicious Israel has the latest scoop on where you need to dine and then dish to your friends about where to go and what to order.

  1. Hiba

Located in the luxurious midtown of Tel Aviv, you’ll come across Hiba, the newest and most glamorous restaurant in the city. Owned and operated by Yossi Shitrit, a celebrity Israeli chef, this establishment exudes what a high-end dining experience is all about. From the moment you enter the restaurant, the entire wait staff and kitchen greet you with a warm welcome - they literally say “welcome to the new guests in the house” followed by your first bite that you nosh on while on the way to being seated at your table. From then on, remember, it’s a marathon and not a sprint, because another 12 courses will cross your path over the next 3 hours. With a menu that reflects Middle Eastern traditions, Mediterranean roots, and a touch of modernism - each course is carefully crafted from the smell to the taste, to the presentation. We wish you the best of luck in trying to secure a reservation, as the wait list is backlogged since the word has spread that Hiba is set to be the first-ever Michelin restaurant in Tel Aviv.

2. Sun Young

Nestled off the busy and bustling Allenby Street, you can find Sun Young inside the incredibly well-designed INK Hotel. Not only is this restaurant known for its modern Asian fusion cuisine, but people everywhere are boasting on the spectacular level of service and hospitality that can be found in this establishment. When you stride down the lengthy staircase into the airy and stylish seating area, you immediately feel like you have teleported to a trendy spot in New York City or Los Angeles. The ambiance alone exudes immaculate vibes. We strongly recommend starting the night off with one of their Delicious in-house cocktails to prepare your palate for what’s in store for the rest of the evening. Pictured below, is one of the must-have menu items from the starter list - their red tuna tartar delicately placed ontop of their crispy rice squares will be the bite that stays with you for days to come. If you’re in the mood for something new, trendy, and absolutely delectable, scroll on over to their website to secure your table now!

3. Lemon Tree

For a fun date night in the heart of Tel Aviv, look no further than the Lemon Tree wine bar on the corner of Nachalat Binyamin and Ahad Ha’am street! If you’re in the mood for some amazing Israeli wines and fresh, fun, small bites - the menu at Lemon Tree was made for you. Sitting at one of their high tables outside makes you feel as if you have a reservation to view Tel Aviv nightlife with VIP spots. If wine isn’t tickling your taste buds that night, don’t worry, their variety of liquors sitting on their gorgeous bar will definitely do the trick. When I recently checked out this spot for a date night of my own, the staff couldn’t recommend enough their delicious burrata salad - which totally lived up to the hype. The minute we sliced that wad of cheese open, it drizzled like lava from a volcano over the sliced cherry tomatoes. Sitting at Lemon Tree was good for the soul, as much as it was for our stomach’s!

4. Depi

Only steps away from the unique Levinsky Market, is my newest and now favorite neighborhood spot - Depi! For anyone in the South Tel Aviv area, you no longer need to travel more than 5 minutes by foot from the market for a chill yet divine, night out. Directly across from the Poupee restaurant on Yehuda Halevi Street, Depi is the epitome of the cool corner spot that is always at maximum capacity on any given night. While there is plenty of outdoor seating, you MUST sit at the inside bar for the best time. Though it is labeled as a bar, what is served on the menu is far from bar food. From some of the best fresh fish to a tortellini pasta I can’t forget, Depi is recognized for its incredible food selections, in addition to their spin on a negroni that is a game changer. But the best part of it all? In comparison to most swanky places in Tel Aviv - this place is just as stylish and yummy but way more affordable! At Depi, you can live your best Tel Avivian life without breaking the bank. Beware - you will now find me here almost every other week.

5. Pereh

Most people easily recognize the bright pink Nordoy Hotel on the corner of Nachalat Binyamin and Gruzenberg Street. But very few people actually know that on the ground floor, is a cozy restaurant called Pereh that opened a little over a year ago in the summer of 2021. With an ever-changing menu that includes the freshest produce in season, no 2 visits to Pereh will ever taste the same. After re-visiting this spot a year after it’s opening, a few of my favorite menu items included their summer watermelon salad, roasted pork, and their cauliflower (which actually contained brain inside)! Not only does their wait-staff provide excellent service, but each person is a true foodie and can talk your ear off about the menu items as well as their bar options. This place is definitely in my top 10 places to visit if you’re coming back to Tel Aviv soon!

6. Lokal

If you are severely craving a homey burger, Stop everything you’re doing right now and go eat at the best new burger joint in town! Yes, there are many, many, many Delicious burger spots all over Tel Aviv, but we’re not exaggerating when we tell you that Lokal TLV has changed the game of Tel Avivian burgers. First of all, it’s not a regular burger, it’s a smashburger - need I say more? It honestly tastes like America, and their slice of cheese is their proof in the pudding, if you know what I mean jellybean. BUT the most incredible thing on their menu is easily their fried chicken sandwich, hands down! Let the record reflect that I think it tastes better than any KFC, Popeyes, or Chik-fil-A sandwich. It’s crispy, juicy, and not oily - basically everything you would want in every bite.

7. Jonz

Under the same restaurant group as the award-winning Milgo and Milbar, the newest and coolest “music salon” has opened up in Florentin. But don’t let this description fool you, their jazz music definitely sets the mood, but it’s their pizza and cocktails that make you want to stay forever. Yes, it’s the pizza - which has now sought new heights as the number one pizza in all of Tel Aviv. It’s not exactly the easiest place to spot, as the windows are drawn with curtains and there is no signage indicating you’re in the right place - you just need to know, to know. They may advertise that walk-ins are welcome, but there is never a place for you to sit or put your drink - so make sure you show up with a reservation already confirmed. The rules are strictly enforced, as in no flip flops or tank tops and smoking is only to be done outside. This is only part of the magic that is drawing in the crowds, you’ve got to get there first to see what the hype is all about.
