Tahini (or Cardamom) Ice Cream

Tahini (or Cardamom) Ice Cream

Just about any kind of ice cream is welcome in the Israeli summer heat (and let’s face it, all year round), and there is no shortage of delicious ice cream and gelato spots, especially in beachside Tel Aviv. But there’s something special about using special ingredients from the Israeli kitchen that you might not normally find at your local ice cream shop abroad. Tahini offers nuttiness, and cardamom offers a comforting spice. Take your pick, and don’t forget to let us know how it turns out! All you’ll need are a few basic ingredients and an ice cream machine.
